Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.
Explore Ozaukee-North Shore: Are you interested in exploring the charming towns outside of Milwaukee, like Thiensville, Mequon, Cedarburg, and Port Washington? This group aims to have more programing available for sisters in our group who are living in--or just loving--Wisconsin's beautiful North Shore. Members of the Milwaukee alumnae chapter spread far and wide, and we're looking for opportunities to get out of the city and connect with sisters in these more northern areas. Sign up for this group by contacting the coordinators, Liz Orelup and Wendy Francour.
MKE DG Book Club: This special interest group will be starting it's fifth year in 2026! We meet the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30. A new book is picked at each meeting, as well as the next club's location. As largely western-MKE residents, we tend to meet around Brookfield-Wauwatosa area--though we will travel for book club ;) We read books of all types; past reads include Fourth Wing, The Unexpected Spy, A Death in Door County, All the Colors of the Dark, The Locked Door, A Gentleman in Moscow, There There, and The Princess Bride (and of course, watched the movie!).
